Remembering once again

As I wandered in the desert aimless,
walking from here to there,
searching for what I could not find,
I remembered an oasis
that I had visited long ago,
water so pure,
water overflowing,
quenching my thirst,
cleansing my wounds.
How could i forget such a place?
was it the desert heat?
the constant wandering?
I remembered and i shall not forget.
I will drink and never thirst again.
I will bath in his glory,
and never leave this place.

Today I remembered again where I was, where i came from.
I remembered the days of hopelessness, days of anguish and tears.
I remembered how in that very moment Christ was there with me, counseling me, guiding me, encouraging me.
I remembered his goodness and kindness to me as I lay in my own filth.

He lifted me up but just as the men cured of leprosy forgot to go back to thank the one who cured them, I too forgot and went my own way.

But today I remember once again and I run to thank the one who cured me, the one who was there to help me.

Thank you Jesus, for being there when I was heart broken, when I saw the depths of my sins...thank you for being my savior, the one who gives me an eternal hope.

Help me to remember each day, to acknowledge you, and live in obedience to your ways and to walk with you daily.

There is no one like you Father, I love you.

A Father's Love

I see the man, I see his hands,
with stories written all over.
dark from working in the sun,
chiseled from hard labor,
eyes determined
lips pursed,
ready to do whatever.
For his family,
4 his sons,
they living in a different place,
might as well be outer space.
yet close in his mind's eye,
all he needs to to do is close his eyes.
Getting tired pulling the weight,
digging, pulling throwing the ground,
3 year old baby boy's smile,
gets him going for another 100 miles,
another day another struggle,
getting lonely day by day,
and the labor barely pays.

Hey I see a Father's love in him,
quiet lowly but moving on,
each step is for his son,
a million more is to come.

Yes what I see is a Father's Love.
a Father's Love.
